Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requires all VAT registered businesses in United Arab Emirates (UAE) to issue tax invoices in a certain format. Tax invoice format as per FTA require the businesses to provide following information on an invoice:

1. Name of the business issuing tax invoice in Arabic and English
2. Tax payer registration number (TRN) of the business
3. Complete address of the seller
4. Unique invoice number
5. Invoice date, the actual date on which the client was invoiced
6. Payment due date
7. Purchase order number, if applicable
8. Name of the client
9. If the client is VAT registered then TRN number of the client needs to be provided
10. Description of the services or goods that are being sold
11. Per unit cost of the items
12. Applicable VAT rate (could be standard rated or zero rated)
13. Net amount payable
14. Terms and conditions, if any
