As per the new VAT law implemented in a few countries in the middle east (UAE, Saudi Arabia), it is mandatory to issue an invoice that carries the business name in Arabic language.

While there are many Arabic invoice templates for VAT, not all are flexible. TopNotepad is a simple tool for creating VAT invoices in both Arabic and English language.

Here are the key items on invoice that needs to be in the local language i.e., Arabic:

1. Business Name:

This is very critical. The invoice is valid only if the business name is displayed in Arabic on the invoice

2. Address:

While you may have your address in English but it will be good to also have the address in Arabic.

3. Description:

Again, you may have this in both the languages, this will make it easy and unambiguous.

4. Invoice date, number:

Please do include the date on which the VAT invoice is issued and the number of the invoice

Please note, only the printable document that too invoice needs to have a few aspects printed in Arabic. You may maintain books in any language and use any tool for tracking the VAT collected on invoice and VAT paid on expenses to arrive at your VAT liability.

In conclusion, you may use Arabic invoice template in excel or may go for Arabic invoice template in word. It could be an online tool as well, which lets you download the invoice in PDF. you may use any template or format for creating a VAT invoice in Arabic as long as you adhere to the items listed above, you will be complaint.

We strongly suggest issuing a bilingual invoice which has all the items that appear on invoice listed in both Arabic and English.
